Show dont Tell.
The writing is nice, and the story is on par with the authors previous work. However, its linear story is made even more apparent due to the author also railroading your characters personality. The writer utilizes themes of discrimination, but rather than guide you to a conclusion and letting you feel as if you discovered it, the author spends a good deal of time putting characters on soap boxes to preach to you. Even worse, your own character spends a good deal of time preaching about this to you as well in an awkward way which makes it so that you barely even have control over your own characters opinions. It would have been great if the author given the player a bit more space and allowed them to roleplay the experience rather than telling us exactly how to think.
