Fantastic

Hero Rise was my very book from choice of games followed by reading the whole trilogy. Needless to say I bought this on release and of course wasnt disappointed. Definitely looking forward to next installment.

Absolutely splendid!

From the get go, I was excited to read the Redemption Season and I was not disappointed when I finished. I love the way this game deals societal issues and I simply adore all the new and old characters! You guys never cease to amaze!

Propaganda: Anti Discrimination The Game

I dont think Ive ever been disappointed in a purchase from this game developer. His hero series was amongst my all time favorite COG, but I just cant get into this one. Every few "pages" theres hamfisted rant that sounds more likely from the author than the oc. The game actively punishes the reader for caring about their sister and not caring about Powered Politics, because you HAVE to be an icon. I paid money for a superhero game, but ended up with a lecture about social issues that was barely dressed up as a superhero game.

Extremely immersive and well worth the wait!

I have been a fan of this series since the first game was released, but this game really surpassed my expectations. It was very well written and the main character you play is truly unique. The subjects this story addresses are interesting, but the dialogue can occasionally feel preachy. That being said, the author has every right to use his story as a platform to discuss varies societal topics. This game also feels much darker and intense in its nature than the previous games, but it really adds to the atmosphere and it helps make the game seem more realistic, and each situation more dire. Also, the side characters that are showcased are becoming very fleshed out and easy to get attached too. I really enjoyed it and Im very excited to see how Zachary continues this plot! This game is absolutely worth your time!

Great, but could use some minor tweaks

Wonderful, to summarize. But I dont like that you cant get a choice to exclude LGBT content from your story, as I am uncomfortable with it. But other than that, its a masterpiece

Amazing!

Yet another great work from this author. Its surprisingly touching to load your character from the previous Heroes Rise games and feel the excitement and pride when they show up! Also, MeChip Prodigal almost made me cry I was so happy. Overall, very well written and plot heavy. Its similar enough to the previous games where you almost know what to expect, but it manages to throw some new twists and turns into it. I had to sit and think over a few options it gave me.

Not satisfying, terribly linear

There was a horrible amount of railroading in this game towards being a social activist, very little to no development of characters outside of one that either gets killed or in a coma, and an overall punishing narrative for trying to explore other options. Having loved the other Heroes Rise series, this was almost a total bust. Even the ending left on a cliffhanger of MORE reality TV tripe with this cast of utterly vile people, whether its their outdated, mysogynistic and frankly assholish views or their oppression Olympics. Good riddance. You dont even feel like a hero youre being forced to deal with backstabbers so often.

Keep Going

I have been a fan of the Heroes Rise trilogy since the very first installment. Checking every week for any news and updates about the sequels. When I heard about redemption units knew it would be another hit. This story is not only entertaining but it talks about situation involved in real life which is great. The throwbacks to the previous trilogy are great and I cant wait to see whats next.

Amazing

The only bad thing I have to say is that Im disappointed that Hero Fall didnt have a save feature at the beginning. I had to play in a world without my other hero, but the writing is spectacular! It starts off kind of slow, but once the competition really starts I cant put my phone down. The main character is super unique, and the choices really affect the game. I wont say its better then the first three, but it is still one of my favorite Choice of Games.

Way too preachy

I enjoyed the Heroes Rise trilogy, and thought it balanced enjoyable game play and social commentary admirably. Not so with this clunker. I would like to add that I am a liberal (Go Bernie!), and still found the writers agenda to be be very thinly veiled and heavy handed. It was long, boring, and as far as choices in character development go, there really werent any. I felt zero connection to the MC I was forced into playing. We get it, the ani-powereds are a metaphor for the LGBT community, you dont have to club us over the head with it. In losing the balance, you lost the plot, and theres no way Id pay for the next installment of this snoozefest.

Not as good as I wouldve thought

As it says in the title it wasnt as good as Im used to by this author. It focused too much on social politics than actually being a hero. Every time I started to get into it, it would start going off about being socially represented or something like that. I liked the book it just was very underwhelming compared to the other Heros rise books

Love it!!!❤️

I love the Hero Rise stories ❤️❤️❤️❤️ this is amazing! Cant wait for more

INCREDIBLE!

This story was absolutely amazing! I was so impressed! I got sucked in immediately! Its so perfectly written, creating such an intense and fascinating world! I loved the previous Heroes Rise games, but this was probably even better! Also, the little cameo that your previous character makes if you played the other games was awesome!! Makes me want to play those all over again! Cant wait for the next one!!

Its alight

The game is very much about equal rights, with heavy allusions to the LGBT community, but so much so that I felt suffocated by it. Your character has a specific agenda and the plot revolves around it no matter how you play. You dont get to make any big decisions, just different ways for your character to ultimately make the same decisions, and I feel that ultimately made me feel less invested than I could have been if the author had kept everything moderate, and allowed players to actually make their characters how they want to.

Falls far short of previous efforts...pass

The reality show was probably the high water mark of this authors other series, but this one just appears to be long on wind and short on action. Question: what sort of RPG has you describe your characters powers long before your characters gender or orientation? Presumably his is some sort of message from the author, but I came here for a fun adventure, not to read the pretentious opinions of some windbag. Give this one a pass. If you want to see a Choice of Games app that handles political messages well, try Choice of Robots.

Another astounding Heroes game

The complexity of the game, the incredible story, and the clever integration of previous saved games make this one a resounding success.

Two Sides Same Coin

*Warning Contains Spoilers* Greetings Progams! I have played the original Hero Rise series and loved it! In that one you played an infinite powered who struggled between unleashing and controlling them. In this version you played as an animal powered. It was amazing to see it from the other side the dark and gritty of Gotham to The clean Metropolis. I absolutely cannot wait for the rest of the series! End Of Line.

Wonderful Game!

I love this series! This game was everything that I was looking for. The only thing I didnt like about Redemption Season was that it ended.

Absolutely Fantastic

Sergi has done it again. This game is truly life changing, one of his greatest works yet. I couldnt help but become attached to the characters and the message of the story. There is truly a powerful message that needs to be told here. Ive only played it once and my life has been changed for the better. I. Love. This. Series. That said, despite my 5 star rating, I feel there is one thing it could have done better: I wish there had been more interactivity between the main character in this game and the character in the last one. It was very disappointing to learn that the other character I spent so much time on was simply off on another assignment. That said, I absolutely adore this new character. Spectacular work again, Riser. Well done.

Finally Here!

I havent even played it yet and I can recommend it with full confidence!
